Mnemo is designed to help you learn with flashcards, widgets, and optional intelligent review — without accounts, advertising, or developer access to your personal learning content.

No account required You can use Mnemo without creating an account.
No advertising or tracking Mnemo does not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Your content stays with you Your decks and cards are stored locally and, if enabled, synced through your own iCloud account.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how Mnemo handles information when you use the Mnemo app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and related Apple platform features.

Mnemo is built with privacy as a core principle. The app does not require a Mnemo account, does not show ads, and does not sell personal data.

2. Information Mnemo does not collect

Mnemo does not collect or store your personal learning content on servers controlled by the developer.

  • No Mnemo account is required.
  • No email address is required to use the app.
  • No third-party advertising identifiers are collected by Mnemo.
  • No third-party tracking SDKs are used by Mnemo.
  • Your decks, cards, answers, and study progress are not accessible to the developer.

3. Learning content and app data

Mnemo stores your flashcards, multiple-choice cards, cloze cards, decks, learning progress, review state, and related app data locally on your device.

If iCloud sync is enabled on your device, this data may be synced through Apple’s iCloud infrastructure using your personal Apple ID. This sync is handled by Apple. The developer of Mnemo does not have access to your iCloud account or to the content stored in your iCloud.

You can manage iCloud settings in the Settings app on your Apple device.

4. Widgets and Apple platform features

Mnemo may display selected learning content, progress information, or review actions in widgets and other Apple platform features. This information is shown locally on your own devices and is used to provide the learning experience you request.

Please note that content displayed in widgets may be visible to anyone who can see your device screen.

5. Optional AI-assisted import

Mnemo may allow you to import learning content prepared with your preferred external AI tool. Using such tools is optional. Mnemo does not require AI services to create or study cards.

If you choose to use an external AI tool, any text or files you provide to that external service are governed by the privacy policy and terms of that service. Mnemo is not responsible for how third-party AI tools process information that you choose to provide to them.

6. Purchases

Mnemo may offer Mnemo Pro as an in-app purchase. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. The developer receives purchase status information necessary to unlock purchased features, but does not receive your full payment details, such as your credit card number.

Apple’s handling of App Store purchases is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and terms.

7. Diagnostics and analytics

Mnemo may receive limited diagnostic information, such as crash reports or performance data, through Apple’s developer tools if you have agreed to share analytics with app developers in your Apple device settings.

This information is provided by Apple in an aggregated or limited form and is used only to improve app stability, performance, and reliability. Mnemo does not use this information for advertising or profiling.

8. Data sharing

Mnemo does not sell your personal data. Mnemo does not share your personal learning content with advertisers, data brokers, or external marketing platforms.

Data may be processed by Apple when you use Apple services such as iCloud sync, App Store purchases, TestFlight, or Apple-provided diagnostics. These services are governed by Apple’s privacy policy.

9. Children’s privacy

Mnemo is a general learning app and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because Mnemo does not require an account and does not operate developer-controlled servers for user learning content, the developer does not knowingly receive personal learning content from children.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information to the developer directly, please contact us so that the information can be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

10. Your choices

  • You can delete decks and cards directly in the app.
  • You can delete the app from your device to remove locally stored app data from that device.
  • You can manage iCloud sync and iCloud data through your Apple device and iCloud settings.
  • You can manage Apple analytics sharing in your Apple device settings.

11. Changes to this policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time to reflect changes in Mnemo, Apple platform features, legal requirements, or privacy practices. When the policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
